We are looking for a Platform Engineer to manage and optimize our AWS and Azure environments, support development workflows, and ensure the security and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting cloud and network issues, performing regular system maintenance, managing deployments, and participating in an on-call rotation for off-hours support. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both Windows and Linux administration, network management and a strong grasp of automation practices.
Responsibilities:
- Attending to needs of AWS/Azure cloud and platform workflows.
- Root cause identification and remediation of security/system alerts
- Performing server and network troubleshooting and management remotely
- Regular system maintenance
- Performing application deployments
- Follow change control processes
- Document new procedures and follow existing operating procedures
- Work on projects and tasks assigned in a timely manner
- Will be required to regularly jump between different Operating Systems and platforms depending on issue or task
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule for off-hours escalations
Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in Windows System Administration
- At least 5 years of experience in Network Administration
- At least 3 years of experience managing Azure & Azure DevOps
- At least 3 years of experience managing AWS environment
- System management shell knowledge, with Powershell, Python, or Batch.
- Experience with Linux administration a plus
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience with IaC, Docker or Kubernetes a plus
- Experience with virtual technologies such as VMware ESX, or Hyper-V a plus
- Advanced understanding of base concepts and protocols such as TCP, NAT, ARP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN, VPN
- Ability to perform end-to-end troubleshooting of issues
- Ability to identify the root cause of issues to solve problems quickly
- Strong motivation to automate processes.
- Ability to create and implement change controls and security procedures.
